Association Sponsors Inhaler Bill

from "Public Policy Update", Breathe Easy news magazine, Spring-Summer 2004)

Children with asthma would be able to carry their inhalers at school if a new bill sponsored by the American Lung Association of California is passed. Currently, there is no state law requiring schools to allow children with asthma to keep their asthma inhalers with them.

Assembly Bill 2367 (Chan, D-Alameda) would require school districts to allow children to carry their inhalers and self-administer their prescribed asthma medications.
