There are 30 million reasons to contribute to the California Lung Disease and Asthma Research Fund
Thats how many Americans suffer from lung diseases such as asthma and emphysema. Nearly 350,000 will die this year because of it, and the numbers are growing.
Its enough to take your breath away.
But you can do something about it.
The 2000 California state income tax form offers you a direct line to fund lung disease research. Line 63 that is. You can contribute to the California Lung Disease and Asthma Research Fund simply by including it on Line 63 of your state income tax form.
The money will go to the American Lung Association of Californias research fund. Every year the organization grants money to researchers in California who are trying to unlock the mysteries of lung disease so that better treatments can be found, and someday, maybe even a cure.
But we are a long way off from ending the suffering caused by lung disease, and every additional dollar spent on lung disease research helps get us closer.
So when you sit down to do your taxes, or work with your tax preparer, please remember to contribute to the California Lung Disease and Asthma Research Fund on Line 63 of your California state income tax form.
Because when you cant breathe, nothing else matters.
