Better Breathers' Program
If you've got a chronic respiratory disease like bronchitis, emphysema, or asthma, a local Better Breathers' Program may help you out.
The Programs combine educational programs with social opportunities designed to create a better understanding of chronic respiratory disease and how to live with it.
Educational programs include films, literature, and demonstrations, as well as lectures by doctors and other health care professionals specializing in lung disease.
Who can join?
Better Breathers' Programs are for patients, family members, friends, or anyone interested in the better management of lung disease problems. Programs are co-sponsored by the American Lung Association and hospitals around the state. Daytime and evening programs are available, and the Program is free to all.
Contact your local association by e-mail, or call 1-800-LUNG-USA to be connected to the group nearest you.
